This comes to mind every time I read someone preaching about safety.
Life is full of risk...... Pick the level of risk you are comfortable with, and then live with your choice... whatever the outcome.... just got to remember not to whine if one of your choices doesn't end up like you thought it would
As long as your choice doesn't put me at risk, I wish you well.... enjoy!
That's fine and dandy, if you don't care about the people who are left picking up the pieces, like parents, children, a wife, co-workers, etc. Maybe the world doesn't revolve entirely around you?
If you really love your wife, would you want to sentence her to changing your diapers for the next thirty years, because you're too brain-damaged to know enough to poop in a toilet?
Yeah, that's pretty "bad-assed"!
Sure, we all take risks in life. But there are easy ways to minimize the risk, like not going bungee jumping, without the bungee cord.

Wow you just don't seem to get it do you? NO ONE IS ADVOCATING UNSAFE RIDING OR UNSAFE EQUIPMENT. So stop preaching the obvious - you aren't the only seasoned rider on this forum.

Are you sure you don't already have brain damage?
Try to put on your "big boy" pants for a moment, and look at the big picture. In a forum, you don't always get the responses you want. If you didn't know that going in, hopefully you would have learned that by now.
Whether or not you've been riding long enough to know a lot of friends who have died, or been left in diapers, I have.

Just wear a helmet whatever it maybe, now how much thought and common sense you put into it that be up to you. Just remember Darwin's law never takes a break....
I know huh? Kinda sad I thought it was interesting. Well I ordered a new helmet and I'll post pics on here when I get it. Meantime here's another cool helmet I like:
