Has any of you Ceramic coated your headers/pipes your self? Is this something I can tackle on my own, or should I just spend the money and have them done? The previus owner painted them with hi temp grill paint and it is stating to ware off and look like crap.

 

While there are some spray on ceramic based paints, to get a real ceramic coating that will last you'll have to let someone with the proper equipment do the job. An alternative to the cheap grill paint is to get some Briggs & Stratton hi temp flat black paint. It is nearly indestructible and gas, etc. doesn't bother it at all. Another option is to get some header wrap.
