2 questions actually:
1. What year did Harley start putting in the sealed ball bearings? I have a 2001 Fatboy that I picked up last March. I know they had the sealed Ball bearings in 2002 but don't know when they ditched the cup and cone bearings in wheels.
2. Are Fatboy front and rear wheels identical? I know that each uses a single disc and the same size tires (at least in the earlier years).
Can't help you on when HD started the sealed bearings but the front and rear wheel are different and they have different part numbers. I have been looking for new wheels for my 2000 heritage and the part numbers are different on the front and rear even though they are the same size.
