2k to current Heritage...

I'm loving my 2k carbed FLSTC. I paid $8500 for it with 347 (yep) miles on her a couple months ago. I look at the new ones and mine looks as good or better than 'em. Aside from FI, which is subject to debate, what else do the new ones have that I should want? Let's go!

Dude Softails are classic so it doesn't matter what year your ride is as long as you are happy with it. Enjoy and welcome to the STF.

Pete,

You will eventually discover 2 unique items related to year 2000 Softails.

-The Stator to Regulator plug is a "one off" design and has a specific HD OEM stock number which is not interchangeable with other year models.

-The Clutch Basket is also unique to year 2000. The retaining nut can bottom out on the shaft before properly torquing down the clutch basket. This situation can be corrected by adding a thick washer between the retaining nut and clutch basket.
