Default Cable routing??

Working on the install of my new apes, and I'm wondering about the cable routing.I've looked at the threads here on apes and saved a few pics, and noticed various ways you guys ran them.I have them in basically the stock routing, but I see where some have the clutch cable ran behind the bars,as well as the throttle cables. Some both, some one or the other.Any benefits here with these different styles,or just personal preference/looks?Also saw a couple with the brake line behind the bars.Any thoughts, with pics?

That's a good question, I've been thinking the same thing with my new bars. I was thinking all the cables behind the bars looks, best but dunno for sure, still chewing on it.

just a preference I think mostly but also need to make sure things don't rub against paint on tanks, etc....I always tried to tie mine to handlebars if at all possible. i hate the look of cables hanging out everywhere.

That's kinda what I'm thinking.Never really thought about it til I started looking close at the pics.Gonna try some different things, not really a fan of that fat clutch cable out front, but was concerned about the bend if I ran it behind the bars.I guess the same with the throttles.

I've got mine running through my trees, behind the headlight. Keeps them away from everything else.

Throttle and clutch cables ran either side of headlight, between upper and lower tree. Brake line ran behind the trees. I bought the bike used, not a huge huge fan of the brake line, but cbf to change it right now lol. Have other things I'm currently doing to it. This is a mid-facelift pic.

Thanks man. I've got a thread open for it, soon as I get the wheels prepped for PC, and back together I'll post some finishing pics up.
