I just saw another moo for sale over the weekend .... current owners really believe those bikes demand some serious milk money - dude wanted $16.5 k
Saw one on Ebay with 22 miles, guy is asking $25K. Where is the one that you saw? I don't think that they command the $$ that they did a few years ago.
Very nice. A Used car lot up the road, has what he's calling a 2005 deluxe that looks just like that for sale. Hes asking 9999.99. Did the deluxe come with that paint scheme in 05? It may not have the cow trim?

This is the information I found regarding the FLSTN.
The 1993 was the only FLSTN "Cow Glide". The FLSTN was continued after 1993 without the bovine motif as the Nostalgia model until 1997, when it was replaced by the FLSTSC Springer Classic. The Springer Classic is also designated as an FL despite using Springer forks instead of the large FL telescopic forks.
The FLSTN designation returned in 2005 with the Softail Deluxe. The FLSTN Deluxe, which was introduced in 2005, also came with an option of carb or EFI models. The year 2005 was also the last in which a carb was offered on all HD big twin models, although I don't believe that it had the cow hide inserts in the seat and saddle bags.
Good for you. It's a collector bike for sure, only 2700 made. Back when they came out they were bringing $25k. Now they are around $10-15k.
Plenty of everyday bikes out there to mod. Modding a MooGlide, Badboy or Heritage Springer is like putting a sunroof in a 1970 Chevelle SS LS7. Unless you can change it back easily you're just decreasing value.
And if anyone is looking, there is a nice one with 7k miles for $11k on ebay.

Right! Keep it stock. If not exactly stock, use only H-D accessories (I hate to say that!) made for that model. And I remember them being sold new by a dealer to an owner to a "independent" to an "exporter" within 24 hours. $25K was the market back then. Congratulations on owning a beautiful bike & one that will always be a classic.
