I am reposting my post about part of motorcycle I cannot recognize on the pic.

I've been studying on that thing from every angle, and recognize nothing. Maybe there's a location clue in other pix they sent?

Be careful - if there's any uncertainty contact the seller, and if you don't trust what you're hearing just step away. Luck.

Read your other post.

I am going to guess that the photo is posted sideways.

To me it looks like the front most portion of the frame that just in front of the tank and where the neck of the motorcycle is. If this is correct, the blank rectangular area looks like the spot where the VIN number would be. Given that there are three holes there it looks like the VIN used to be on a plate and was removed. I am not too familiar with Harley's from this year. My Harley and every other I've seen has the VIN number stamped directly into the metal.

The hole directly above it in the photo looks like where a steering lock should be.

Good luck with this purchase. I understand that you are buying from an insurance auction so I'm hoping you don't get take advantage of.
