I can't seam to find any narrow traditional style apes for a springer. The base is where I'm more concerned.
I know BR customs can make me a set. But the last time I went to order from them I was told shipping had jumped to $450 US to Australia shores. I only bought bars from them a few months prior shipped for $120 US.
So is there anyone else out there with what I'm after? I really want it to curve upwards straight out of the risers to keep that narrow springer flow happening.
Beat me to it. I swapped my top plate with a Carlini Fat Springer Adapter Plate 2 (for FL springers; use the Carlini FSAP1 for FX springers), and this plate allows the use of regular risers and any set of bars you want.
The LA Choppers Nice Curves are about the most narrow out there. Detailed pictures of them can be seen in my springer build, which is linked under my signature.
I have nash Pudgy Gimps. Yes. DEALING with them takes forever! and it took a long, looong, LOOOONG time to get me bars. (4 months for what they said was "in stock") and then blamed it on powder coating. BUT, I think the quality of the product is great. And I was in no real hurry.
When I put apes on my Springer, I put on 16's from Wild One Inc. and to me, they flow with my bike. Last time I was on their website, they had several pics to look at too, maybe you might see if what they have is what you want.
Thanks everyone. I've gone through all your suggestions. There's some nice bars for sure. I want the base to be as narrow as possible for the look I'm going for
Redsauce i thought about changing top plate to fit narrow burly apes, that might be my solution
Spencer those JSR's are pretty cool and well priced
