Default do the windshields work well on softails?

was thinking of throwing a windshield on for longer rides along with 3/4 helmet to help on longer rides.

does the windshield really work/help?

Mine does. The only time I use it is on long rides. Makes a big difference.

Which softail do you have?

My Heritage OEM windshield was too tall. I got a shorter LRS recurve, and it's awesome. I don't use it around town... but if I'm gonna be doing some freeway miles, it works great!

Just about any bike, if you get a windshield that can break the wind before it hits the driver, will increase comfort on longer rides....

The first time I took a trip (2200 miles round trip) on a Harley with a windshield, after many years of no windshield, I was amazed how relaxed my neck/shoulders were after a long day in the saddle.....

I use to ride without a windshield for years until I purchased a Road King, wow what a difference. I won't ride without one.

I have the Switchblade 2 Up windshield from Nationa Cycles. Works great for me on long rides and for winter riding. Actually looked really good on even with the ape hangers.
