I ordered a 2015 Deluxe. Until it comes in I will still be riding my super glide. super glide i hated from day 1, worst handling bike i ever rode.
questions are, how does a deluxe handle?
besides exhaust, air cleaner and a tuner, anything else i should be looking for?
thanks
Handling is generally good, but it's pretty easy to scrape the floorboards if you ride aggressively.
As a cruiser the handling is generally good. It's not designed for aggressive riding. Suspension is short and you will bottom out or scrape the floorboards if you corner aggressively.
You will like it. I traded in my 9 year old 04 fxdl for my 13 deluxe. I like it better, but I dont ride very aggressive any longer. Ive been riding since 1969 and I have never test ridden any new bike before I purchased. For some reason I can just look at a bike and tell if I will be ok. Dealer encouraged me to test ride this one, but declined. I just could tell and had never ridden a softail. I'm hooked and hope to keep it a very long time when all the new ones become water-cooled.

If don't like the handling of your Super Glide, then you will positively hate the Deluxe. Softails are great, but they don't work as good as a Dyna in town or in the mountains. I rented Heritage and liked it, but it's not as versatile as my FXD. Regardless, the Deluxe is arguably the best looking model in the lineup.
Ditto to Mike. If you're into twisties, this ain't the bike - all I'd do riding the gap would be to **** off anyone behind me. Flip side is, this thing is a lot more comfortable than I would have thought.
Just wish the MoCo would get off their a.. and give us cruise control!
No, not kidding at all. I can't imagine spending $20k on a bike not knowing how it handles.
Wow...I have had seven Harley's and NEVER test rode one. I guess some of us just put a leg over it and ride it if it has 2 wheels I know how it's going to handle, to each there own I guess
