Default special tools?

I have made my decision on what components I will be getting for my stage 1 upgrade. V&H shortshots staggered (black) SE heavy breather and the dynojet powervision pv2. I will be doing the work myself. I am mechanically inclined and have done the equivalent of this work on several my trucks in the past. (New headers on the 5.7l hemi is a pain) my question is do I need to go pick up any special useful tools or extras that would be good to have? Thanks in advance. Oh bike is a 2015 fatboy lo.

A good quality set or wrenches, sockets, torx's and a torque wrench is a good start

You'll probably be just fine with what you've got for the jobs you've listed. Seems the oddball is the Torx T27 that most kits don't include, and I'm not sure if I needed mine for these jobs or if it was something else...

Good thing is, if you find yourself missing something, you'll be able to get what you need at the hardware store rather than ordering and waiting on something weird.

Go pulling cams and such, you'll be sourcing weird, expensive stuff.

For the job you are doing, basic tools should be fine. Having a manual, SAE and metric tools, as well as FT/LBS and IN/LBS torque wrenches will do for most general HD work. Typical incidentals, anti seize and thread locker. One ODD socket I needed was an extra long T50 (Confirmed) to get the rear passenger foot peg off. I also had to buy a bolt from HD, the same bolt that holds the primary side rear foot peg, as the one you take off will be too long to go back in.

Are you getting the PV Auto tune pro? If so, make sure your new pipes have 18mm bungs or you will end up having to drill and weld on 18mm bungs.
The Bassani Road Rage I just installed came standard with 18mm bungs.

Make sure you have the proper exhaust gaskets on hand and I cannot stress this enough, Make sure you clean the pipes thoroughly to remove any oil or finger prints before you fire it up. I use Windex.

And as mentioned above, BEER!

For the work you have listed you should not need anything out of the ordinary or Harley/motorcycle specific when it comes to tools. If you've done headers on your truck (and provided that your a stickler for getting it done RIGHT) then you probably have most of what you need.

Thanks everyone. Sounds like ill have everything i need. Few questions on a few things that were said and i dont know how to quote.

Exhaust gaskets.
Referencing my hemi header work the gaskets that came with the headers were crap. Used oem ones instead.
Do the v&h pipes come with gaskets and are they worth a d@mn?

Autotune pro.
I will not be performance modding past stage one. (I have a 750hp diesel project im elbows deep in for going fast) is the pro needed? The extra power the mods add are secondary for the better running engine. And of course looks and sound. Extra hp is just a bonus. The fatboy is plenty fast for me lol.

Edit: beer is a given lol.

If your exhaust comes with gaskets, V&H gaskets I found to be flimsy. I would check your instructions, but I believe you require flat gaskets which are the SE Exhaust gaskets.

No, you do not require the AT Pro. It was just a question as most do not realize that they could have ordered an older model pipe that comes with the 18mm bungs instead of having to weld on new bungs. The pipes for all the new models come with 12mm bungs.
