My fatboy runs good when i a cruising along at 55-60, but when i get on the freeway, it seems like the front tire gets squirly and shakes untill i back off a little. Anyone know of anything i can check? tires look good and pressure is good, so i don't know what it might be. just gets a little scary when that happens.
Cant tell from your pic but do you run with a windshield? Also, have you noticed it when there are no other vehicles around? A little buffeting is normal with a shield especially when you get in the displaced air from vehicles in front of you (can be quite a distance if large/high speed). Of course if its uncontrollable or feels unsafe then maybe you do have an issue.
no... i don't run a windshield.... I was kinda wondering if it's because i have my arms up so high and i am catching a lot of wind when goin that fast... but i don't know
I would assume if you haven't changed anything lately, tires, wheels, or front end it has to be something in the wheel weight.
Yea it's no fun riding like that makes you pucker up a little.
Perhaps you dopped a wheel weight. Still, I would consider verifying your front end, Fork pinch bolts, steering head fall away. If it is not a wheel weight that came off (which evidence of the old one should be present) then it seems to me the bike is telling you something more serious may be happening.
