Anyone aware of any wind deflectors available for the Deuce with the quick detachable windshield. I can't take the helmet buffeting anymore. I'm getting drain bamage. See what I mean????
I have the HD deflectors. I don't notice a big difference around town, but they seem to work pretty good at highway speeds, plus they add alot of chrome to the front end. http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US
They don't list the FXSTD in fitment though. I suspect they are only designed for the FL (touring) front end.
i just got my 07 duece... got the windshield for it too... it's semi-detachable... some of the docking hardware stays on the front but, you can take the winshiels off.... it's tapered, to fit the duece's styling... mine's a light smoked. wish i would have had it, when i was on vacation, getting battered by the wind, up in the mountains.. i'm pro windshields...
Thanks for the replies. So it seems to lose the buffeting I need to remove the windshield. If I use the windshield there are no air, wind, deflectors for the DEUCE to solve the buffeting problem. More and more I'm sorry I bought a HD Deucewith very few available after market options.
Shortly it will be for sale and I'll head back to the metrics......I've never had this many problems getting comfortable on a bike in my life. Doesn't seem worth the effort anymore...................
Crusher, check out www.windvest.comI have one on my fxstc and there's no (zero, zilch, nix) buffeting at all. It's also a much cleaner look than a traditional windscreen. It might take a little patience adjusting the windvest's height / angle to suit your height and bars, but that's it. Mine took less than 10 minutes to set up, including opening the wrapping!
