I have been trying for the past year to find a garage queen Softail. Preferably a springer, I missed out on 4 so far. The dealer took one trade in himself, then his son took a Bad Boy that was exceptional. The an undertaker traded in an very low mile almost perfect Evo Heritage. Dealer kept it for his collection.

Then I saw a 05 Deluxe that two tone white and black with an extraordinary amount of extras that were well done. Very low miles and it looked like it came on the show room floor.

One customer bought it but when his loan was approved he tried to tell the sales person that he wanted more off of the asking price. He backed out. Two couples were looking at it but wanted to see some used Heritages in the warehouse first. As they were walking over to the used showroom, I looked it over. Then I realized that it could serve as the nostalgic bike that I was looking to add to my collection even though it was newer. The Deluxe just has the right look for that.

I pulled out my check book and had the deal done before the other folks came back. One decided on the Deluxe and the manager said it was already gone. But the couple went ahead and got the Heritage. Everybody won.

My camera does not do well in florescence lighting but I couldn't wait. I will post a proper picture when the sun comes out.


I am going to look into what I can take of or add to get more of a nostalgic look that I want. The intake must go and have a circular one for the right look. The exhaust isn't right either.

About the same thing here. I've been waiting for a decent deluxe myself. Found one, '14. Put the deposit down, contract drawn up with a payoff Friday. I should take possession Saturday.

I just hope it doesn't get sold from under me...lmfao

Good deal on the Deluxe. There was a time that I went looking at bikes at my local dealer and they had a two tone white Deluxe there. I looked it over and thought that if I ever wanted to get another Harley to go along with my Springer it would be that Deluxe.

I got my 2008 off Craigslist ad from Pa in Spring 2014. It was well cared for and had a lot of stuff that I took off and sold (bags, etc) so I could Cholo-ise it...

Gets a ton of attn everywhere I take it.
