Fluid change
You won't know when you get snowed at your local dealer. I was in mine and they always tell you to replace the o ring on the derby or the paper gasket. I was in there watching a teck do a fluid change he took out all the screws except the top one turned the cover up and tighten it a bit did the primary fluid change loosed the cover and bolted it back down wow but your supposed to change it every time. I have also seen them sell four quarts of oil to newbies and when they go home and Chang there oil not knowing any better they put the four quarts in and have oil coming out of the breather no matter what harly has to say it's all about them making money. And there are guys in any neighborhood who do not work for harley who do things they tell you can't be done a lot of dealers do not want you doing your own work and this crap about replacing things every time you do something only assures them of more sales. Before harly had a syn oil they're did not recommend it as soon as they got one o yea it's good stuff do not beleive every thing you hear fronm your local dealer as far as I'm concerned they are your biggest enemy. I have a dealer less than two miles away and if I run itto something I can't handle I'll drive 35 miles to an independent bike shop to have it done . When the summer comes the techs at harly are being pressured to get the bikes out ASAP then when winter comes a few techs get laid off for lack of work

Nikon, ***** the dealer. You are aware that you can take that 'O' ring down to ACE and get the correct size? You can then order a multi pack for less than what HD wants. HD makes one of the best scoots in the land but they make their money off the accessories and maintenance products. There is a work around to that.
