My 05 fatboy is a carb bike, runs like a beast!! You could have actually ordered a fuel injected model back in 2000...

My '05 FB was the 15th anniversary, 95CI FLSTFI. Stage one, V&H Big Radius out the door. It got your attention > laffs

FI rocks. Much easier to tune and pretty rock solid. I even upgraded the injectors on mine in no time at all.

With my Fatboy (2001, carbureted), you pay for the lack of low end vibration with vibration at higher speeds. That's where a 6th speed would help (65 mph+)

My cousin had his 02 Deuce for sale. Very low mileage, under 4000 iirc. I believe its carbed. It's in Rockland county NY. I can check if it's still for sale.

PIC!

One thing I have noticed is that my sons 2000 FB-carbed with a cam, is smoother than my 2013 deluxe. His bike is as smooth as a kawasaki vulcan he once owned. Its amazingly smooth. No softail buzz at any RPM.

Could be the difference in engine size.
