Until I rode my son's 2000 Deuce last year. Now I'm a believer. Love that smooth riding bike. He's got the B series motor which I believe is counter balanced (what does a touring guy know anyway?).
So if I want to add a used softail to my collection some day......and I really like the smoothness and ride of his Deuce....which model years Softail should I be looking for to get that same motor??
Never knew what I was missing. Thanks Softailers......
Nothing newer than 2002 IMO. Preferable carberated.
Yes Softy.....Like his carb'd 2000 MY.

With that said, the 103 on my deluxe is a 103b. From what I understand the 103 on the road kings are not.

06 was the last for carbs. I'm still looking for an 06 Train, first year of the wide rear tire and last year for carbs. It's gotta be one out there for me....

Good luck. I have seen quiet a few Dueces in those years around here for about $8000 +-.
