Alright thanks for the help so far guys, I am learning so much. dan89flstc, I disconnected the red wire from the rear blake switch and both filaments are still illuminated. So front switch problem I have to figure out. Should the front brake lever be difficult to pull in? Wonder if I should replace the entire thing?
Ok maybe staring at the lights is screwing my eyes up. I just took a short break to eat and go back and only one filament is lit, now I can't be 100% sure if both were lit the last time. All I know right now is that the tail light is on (the smaller of the two elements) and depressing the foot. and hand brake does nothing to the light.
But hey, solved the issue with the front passing lights not coming on with the lights, only one wire was going to each of the lights, one was disconnected and cut back. Added new wires and bam, fixed. Now my only issue is this darn brake light.
