Good, so we know the wiring under the fender is ok, and we also know you have a bad rear brake light switch.
But we can double check the rear switch: connect only the orange wire, and read the voltage at the terminal on the switch where the red wire goes, while pressing the rear brake pedal.
I put a LED kit on my Roadking, and installed a module that keeps the "ambers" on though I changed those to red too, and now my tail end is sooo much brighter. When I hit the brakes, all three light up nicely.
I highly recommend this set up, especially if you live where there is a lot of fog. good luck with your lights.
Yup that's correct. So I put the red wire back on and nothing. Took both wires off and jumped them together, voula, brake light. Tonight I am going to check the wiring under the fender just to make sure every is good. I am also gonna pull the front switch apart and make sure it is ok as well.
I am starting to get frustrated with this tail light.
