Default Advise on mods needed.....

Looking at getting a few bits for my 04' Heritage.Want to keep the nostalgic theme.

Firstly looking at changing my big shot longs for a set of vance and hines softail duals fishtails.

Secondly changing my wild one 518 bars for a set of 550 beach bars.Purely for looks.

Finally getting a set of 16' Fat Daddy 50's with whitewalls.Currently got polished twisted stainless steel spokes.

Here are some pics of my baby thus far.Should i pull the trigger on these mods.Love to get your thoughts.

Hey moggsy,

Regarding your 518's, how tall are you and what is your opinion of the comfort with them? Considering them for my Fat Boy. Thanks.

Good luck.

Honestly, I prefer the style of the beach bars you're looking at. I'm 5'-10" and concerned about the comfort of the beach bars.

My stock bars aren't cutting it. I feel more comfortable holding the very ends of my grips and even a finger or two hanging off.

I've got a set of WW Chubby 550's laying in the garage - brand spankin' new, have had them since Christmas. Haven't gotten the inspiration to put them on the scoot yet. I know they'll look sweet, but I sure like the feel of the stock bars on my Heritage. Have held the beach bars up to the bike a few times and am afraid I won't like the hand position, especially for longer cruises. I'll put them on one of these days.

Sure do like the wide whites on a Heritage Classic, I think they ought to be on there from the factory - like on a RKC. Pics in my gallery show with/without wide white walls.

GADave,

Agree with you on the whitewalls.Sounds odd but putting the whitewalls on my Heritage was probably one of the better mods i have done.Really lifted the look of the bike and gives it that "heritage" look. And you are right they should come standard.

Anyway get those 550's on,should look great but will be a big difference to the stock bars.

cheers
