I was going to go with 14" chubby apes on my cholo build. But, the other day I was going down the highway at 75-80 mph and the wind was killing me with my stock bars and windshield. It made me start thinking about going with beach bars instead.
So, you guys with apes... How do you deal with highway speeds? I really like the apes and think they compliment the cholo style. But, I do like beach bars to...
Grow a pair or get a windshield. In other words, we just deal with it - it's part of the experience.
BTW, beach bars aren't gonna make it much better at hwy speeds...
I cruise at hwy speeds with my clutch hand resting my legs, hunched over a bit. Oh and don't forget to look like a badass regardless if you are hating life hahaha.

I usually ride one handed too, it cuts the wind a lot.
And I wear foam ear plugs. Cutting the wind noise helps a ton, my pilot buddy clued me into that long ago.
Same here. 16inch carlinis and I just deal with it. Plus I try and stay off the highways if I can. Just take the long way and ride the back roads. But I don't mind busting down the highway if I need to. I just know that when I'm on the bike any problems don't matter cuz I'm having a good time
