Okay, Im getting into the swing of things with my bike and now adjusting it to my tastes...
So, Ive put on some apes and stripped off all the fancy "extras" that were supposed to be the big selling point of the bike lol
Next Ive relocated the horn to the front of my frame. So Id like to move my coil to the old horn location. I can fab a bracket, to hang under the choke.
My question is this: it looks like only three wires lead to the coil? solder extensions and relocate should be it? whats with all the harnesses they are selling? at first I thought this would be simple, but the more I read Im leary....I dont want to screw anything up...
any tips? advice? am I missing something? Ive searched and only see the sportsters relocation vids and of course thats a bit different
well, I think Ill just go for it. I did see some good info on this site. Im surprised it didnt show up on the google search.
looks like the three wires to the coil get extended and then a bracket fab......hope its that easy. lol
I would like to ask about removing a relay to the coil...is it necessary? I know I need to remove the neg battery cable, but should I bother with the coil and which is it?
