Had my bike on the dyno this past weekend and I am not happy with the outcome. The bike made 120.1 HP and 125.6 ft lbs. I was expecting more with my current set up. This is what I am currently running.
11.8 to 1 Compression Ratio ( SE 12.1 Pop up Pistons)
62mm throttle body and intake manifold and breather.
Hurricane Heads
S&S .640 easy start cams
4.89 gram injectors
Rhinehart Crossbacks ( still waiting on my RB Racing Pro Stock)
Zippers Chain Conversion Kit
Not sure why my numbers were so low. The 120R before me made 128/131. Any input is appreciated.
What were you using for fuel? I ask because that's a fairly high CR for pump gas.
Try different ignition timing settings?
Work with the fuel map at all?
A bunch of little things can keep a motor from reaching its full potential.
Also, what about the heads? That's where real gains are made. You can have really b!itchin' shortblock with a mediocre set of heads that will will put out mediocre power. Or, a mediocre shortblock with a b!tchin' set of heads that will far exceed expectations.

A couple gallons of 100 plus octane race gas would be a good and relatively inexpensive thing to try. I'd bet money that you would see an improvement.
I've been drag racing a long time. Currently I run an air-cooled VW that makes over 500hp out of 2300cc (142cu. in.). As such, I have a good grasp of what works and what doesn't. A lot of guys say you can run a 12-1 CR motor on pump gas, and you can...to a point. But that's into the territory where it needs more octane than pump gas can provide for full power pulls. Give it a try. A couple gallons ($15/Gal) will let you know quickly.

Was the 120R an A motor or a B motor? Ive got a B motor going to the dyno tomorrow. 10.8:1 CR, 58 mm throttle body, 640 cam but Im at 5000 ft of elevation. I will let you know what I do. My builder has an A motor in a dyna that does 128/130 at this altitude. Ive also got 2 into 2 exhaust so Im leaving power on the table.
