Default ? is crank position sensor true/false only?

Either it works or it doesn't?
And if it is bad, will the bike start or would it have intermittent troubles?
Thx

The Crank Position Sensor is a magnetic pickup sending a signal which is related to spark timing. Normally it is functioning or not functioning however I suppose that if the magnetic field has weakened, a correct signal could be intermittent. They are inexpensive. If yours is suspect just replace it.

Well I had intermittent hard starting problems..
Even tho the sensor tested fine voltage wise, I replaced it..
Starting problems were fixed..
