Default Slim pics with engine guards......

Hi all, I saw a slim with an engine guard today, the guy said it saved his bike, he took a spill in the gravel and did a lot of damage, he was glad he had it on or he said there would have been 1000s in damage...... Harley has in chrome, and I believe there are aftermarket ones available. Was hoping to see what you put on and tell me the brand and the pros cons etc....

I went with the H-D mustache guard, just for the lower profile look.

..and the notch at the top makes a good spot to hang a toolbag...

It comes with footrests which are pretty much useless, for me anyway, as they're a little too high and a little too far inward.
But it's a lifesaver for sure... A couple of years ago, right after I put it on, I had a mishap where I ended up leaning on the bike (after a few too many beers) and almost rolled it.
The engine guard saved it - I managed to grab it before it feel all the way over, but if it hadn't been for the guard touching down and stopping it, it would have gone all the way over.
IOW, it already paid for itself...
The guard didn't get a scratch.

Somebody had a Lindby for the Slim in the member marketplace the other day. I thought about jumping on it but it was chrome and I'd like to get the black.

Jam436 that bike looks great. I'm a big fan of the guards too, they save expensive damage if the bike tips over.

its the nostalgic model from the latest version Of the Charley Davison "Hunderd
Dollah's Mo" catalog. n true I dinked mine on the concrete and the guard saved me a few hundred bucks at least. Jus bent the brake lever is all.
The rear tire never meets the ground because of the fulcrum point the guard makes. Easy pickin it up too as its Hard for little guys like me to pick em up if they laying flat.

Once you see this trick on how to pick up a bike, you'll see anyone can do it easily. Could come in handy one day.
