Anyone have a pic of what they look lke on a Fatboy?
After reading a post here this morning on the wind deflectors, I decided tospend the $66.00 andsee how they did with eliminating theirritating buffet at high speeds. Putthe deflectors ona test run up to 70 mph today, and no buffeting at all. A little more heat is noticable in the slower speeds, but I guess that's the trade off. Still not quite sure about the look though.

I think I will drop in on my Harley dealer and get a pair of those deflectors also. Nice to have them for longer rides and winter riding here in Oregon. We get caught in the rain once in a while and I think those would be just the ticket.

Installed them on my bike within a couple of weeks of buying my Heritage Classic...Be prepared to clean bugs off of it.

I went to my dealer on Thursday and put in an order for the wind screens. I agree they don't look all that great but when on the road and its cold, rainy and your legs are freezing, looks goes out the window.

The dealer cost was $66 and they had to order them, none in stock.

Thanks for the thread, it was the motivator I needed to put them on the bike. I guess you can take them off in the summer if you choose since its appears to be an easy install.

I picked up the wind deflectors this weekend. I installed them last night and rode to work this morning. The buffeting was all but gone up to 80 MPH. Thanks guys for your suggestions to my problem. The look takes some getting used to but the function is awesome.

Regards,
Fatboyemt

Yep..the chrome wind deflectors will solve your problem. I had bad buffeting at speed and the deflectors took it away. I don't notice any extra heat from the deflectors, but I am old enough to have an insensitive crotch...

Where do these deflectors attach? I'd like to get some if it's not a pain to remove them.

A guy I work with made his own out of plexi glass and mounted them with aluminum angle, you can harley see them and according to him work great. Just an alternative, those things look a bit gangly from HD.

They attach to the QD windshield grommet mounting bolts. Took five minutes to put on.
