Default Pivot point safety issues?

Is it possible to bolt a license plate bracket to the pivot point without any safety issues? I haven't tighten the nut but I have posted a few pics what do y'all think.

as long as you get the bolt back to the proper tq specs it will not rotate loose. the swing arm pivots with bearings much like how your wheels rotate on the axle.

+1 on what stal said. As long as you torque it properly you'll be good to go.

just out of curiosity why not mount it to your passenger peg hole. I had originally mounted my plate there but kept hitting it when i would back up or walk my bike. i moved mine to the rear swing arm to get it out of the way

I thought about it and was trying not to modify the bracket. I'm going to see if I can return it, if not then I may try bolting it to the passenger peg or figure out a way to use the belt guard fasteners.

this may not be for you but i mounted mine on the rear axle. it keeps it out of the way. only thing i could see is the tail light looking a little funny back there.
