2011 Fatboy Lo- won't start

I rode it to work this morning and tried starting it up to go home and I hit the run switch and that worked fine. Then tried starting it and all I get is a click..

I'm about to drive my car to it and try to pull some codes off of it and then bring the battery back to my room and put it on the tender.

Anyone have any suggestions? I searched and read some other posts about the same problem and thats what has dictated my current approach.

Sounds like a weak battery, or loose battery cable. Good luck

The battery is on a tender right now.

I'd give it a try with a fresh charged battery, and if it starts be ready to measure the charging voltage, if it's > 13.6 volts the charging circuit should be good and must be some parasitic load that drained it.

That code suggests an over current issue, .... not sure how it determines that, ... could be looking at the voltage drop from the time you hit the start switch.

Could be the battery is not discharged, and the cause is a poor connection.

Is there a specific aftermarket battery anyone suggest or should I stick with an OEM one from the dealer?

Do a forum search, and it should reveal a few options, but the Big Crank from http://www.batterymart.com/c-big-cra...1JvBoCrK3w_wcB is a popular choice.

Made by the same factory as HD batts.

I would not go buying a new battery before doing some diagnostics.
