I've got the boom audio handlebar speaker setup.
It's OK up to about 60-70 then there's noise but not much to enjoy.

If you're wanting anything louder I think you'll need to come up with a custom setup with a big amp and big speakers. Not right for a bike IMO.

I too like to listen to tunes while riding down the country by ways or while on the hi way. I used ear buds for a while and got tired of messing with them while riding. I bought a Reckless fairing with an Infinity bluetooth reciever, 4 Polk Audio speakers and a 300 watt Rockford Fosgate amp. I could not be more pleased with the sound quality and the volume cleaness while riding at speed. Fairings on Softails are not for everyone but I like mine. The extra wind protection is definately a plus also.
