Default Cycle Sounds vs Boom Audio

Does anyone have the handlebar speakers from either manufacturer? The Cycle Sounds speakers are 3" and the Boom Audio are 3 1/2". The Cycle Sounds speakers seemingly have more versatile mounting positions since they're smaller, but I expect they have less bass. That said, the Boom Audio amp is only like 55 watts and the Cycle Sounds amp is 200 watts. Both are pretty pricey. Just trying to make up my mind and wondered if anyone has experience with either, particularly the handlebar speakers. Thanks in advance for your comments.

I bought the Shark250W system after watching a bunch of vids. Let me see if I have any pics of it mounted. I like the system, it's loud enough for me, but over 60mph forget it. I had the idea to change out to a more quality speaker, but I'm in no hurry. I like the fact that I can unhook the whole unit and it's off my bike in about 5 mins. Yeah, the speakers look a little gaudy on the handlebars, but I don't care. Lets see if I have some pics. Standby.

With a helmet on and earplugs in on the highway I can hear the music, but not as good as you would think. I basically like it for around town cruising type stuff.

This unit does get quite hot/warm so I did cut holes in my tool bag for air flow. Has never cut out on me due to heat.

Hope this helps. Wade

Thanks for the replies. I just pulled the trigger on the Cycle Sounds system. I like the fact that we can mount the speakers to the riser instead of the handlebars. Should hide them better, plus they're black (match the bike) and smaller. I just don't see ow you can get much bass out of a small round speaker anyway so I figured I might as well go as small as practical. I'll post pics when it gets installed in a couple of days.
