I had a MS bullet fairing before on my 99 fatboy an I really liked it on the highway...just picked up another one for the Slim but I haven't installed it..does a good job of knocking air off the body so you're not fighting it at highway speeds. I have a wind vest now I'll be replacing with the MS. both designs keep air from pushing your body back away from the bars an reduces fatigue on the highway...I think the HD quick detach do a better job of keeping the cold air off.
It really changes the look of the bike! I think I like it! I have a 16" long ride shields on mine and I'm not a huge fan of the looks. Hows the protection? You said it makes highway riding more enjoyable. Is it a Memphis Shades? Did you powdercoat the brackets or do they come black? Is it quick detach? Sorry for all of the questions!
Protection wise, it puts the air right up to the crown of your head, theres a bit of buffeting when i have a full face helmet on, but with my 1/2 helmet, its barely noticeable. i second what lang said as far as cold air protection, it doesnt offer much in that department
It is a memphis shades, and the bracket it their quick detatch. the way you see it is the way it come out of the box, i was really impressed with the quality of both the bracket and the fairing.

Okay...thank you! I'll have to look further into these.
I own a 16’ FLSS and still have the stock mufflers.. been racking my brain on whether to buy a full system vs a pair of slip ons. My question is, does anyone on here have the screaming eagle slip ons on their Slim S? If so can you please provide me pics, part number, and also a mini review on this? I would appreciate any insight I can get. Thank you all and Merry Christmas!!!!

Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong but the S-Series mufflers are already Screamin Eagle.

Nothing better on the market if you ask me.
Gets rid of that hideous 1/2" thick plate that holds those muffs together too. Just a cleaner look.

Good pic - looks nice.
I think its fairly common knowledge that 2-1 systems will
out-perform others, but if that is not the goal, it all comes
down to what are personal preferences for looks...
I dont personally care for the looks of 2-1, so went with a bit of a
'different' look than most. (granted, its a 'normal' FLS, not FLS-S)
I'm all for changing 'stuff' to make it 'your own'. Here's a somewhat
dated pic of my Slim.
