Big Crank. Made by Deka who makes the Harley batteries. $99 with free shipping and often there are discount codes for a little less. Can't go wrong for that price
im a big believer in li-po/lithium batteries i use them in all my race bikes, need no tender and they can sit for up to a year and still crank my 200 hp + ducatis and aprillas...also had a custom build years back and hid the battery under tranny and worked fabulous cranking the patrick racing 160 ci twin up...i use primarily alien motion now because im sponsored by them but ive also used shorai,ballistik,anti-gravity in the past and they all worked great,i have a shorai in my moto guzzi that is still working goin on 5 years..just balanced charged it on dedicated charger once at 3 years old and worked like new again
I too am a lithium battery fan however I get between 4-5 years out of a standard $100 big crank battery.
A lithium battery runs around $330.
That's 12-15 years worth of Big crank batteries.
I'll recommend unless the space is needed, stick with a standard battery.
totally agree with you..especially on a harley not much use for a weight loss..but its very significant on a track bike, losing 7-9 lbs up high is a big noticable difference on lean angle..i mainly use lipos because i get them for free being sponsored by alien motion but you can buy a 12 cell am battery at riders discount for $145 only the anti gravity batteries are over $300,shorai also can be bought for under $200 and they are right up to par with ag or better imo
Thanks for all the input. The main reason I am considering lithium is to free up a little room for a good alarm system for a little ease of mind when I'm parked outside in a not so good area. It will probably boil down to what I can afford.
