You know Dynas and Softtails are different families.... riiiiiiiight?? The Breakout is part of the Softtail line and has some modernization since the 1984 Dyna.
I don't see many BO bikes either...other than mine. But then, I don't want to have a bike that every other rider has. *cough, baggers, cough*
ChickinOnaChain, you got the BO huh? Congrats, FXSB is one fine choice. Did you give up your Slim? The new 2016 Slim S has a 110 SE Engine stock. No we don't want a bike like everyone else rides........cough...

Enjoy what you ride gentlemen and "saddle up!".
Ride on.....
I do indeed know the difference. I also know that the Dyna family of motorcycles didn't debut until 1991, not 1984. Prior to 1991 they were known as the FX series and they weren't Softails. The first Softail model was sold as a 1984 model year bike.
When the MoCo reuses model designations from storied models that got you to those new bikes, you're gonna get the "I knew John Kennedy and you're no John Kennedy" (that's not a slam, it's a historical quote) from some of the older folks around here. No matter how hard I try, when I see the letters SG I see Super Glide, not Street Glide.
Sometimes if you put up with old grumpy b*stards you you can pick up a thing or two In the end, the bike you ride is the best one in the world friend.
