I got a '15 Heritage back in April and put Rush slip ons with 1.75" baffles. Like leftyjm said above, they're loud enough to give you the sound but won't give you a headache.
One-Up I've owned 4 Harley's and the 2016 a Black FLSTC Heritage Classic will bemy 5th. Vance & Hines Strightshots Slip-Ons will be my first change. My second set, they sound and look great. The2016's has lots of cool changes that got me started in a new ride. Best bang for your buck, IMO. I'm going strictly solo so tossing the Sissy Bar and passenger seat.

Perry - thanks for info. I've been on Touring models for 9 years. I'm a little hesitant to go to a Softail. I ride a lot (12,000 miles this year), so I wonder about the comfort compared to a Road King on long trips. Any thoughts or advice?
One up I sold my 2012 Heritage in 2014 with 27000 miles on it, and did 10,000 miles on my next Heritage in 6 months. I've traded for a 16 Fatboy S but that's already racking up the miles and will do 2 long trips next summer.
Not sure what the worry is about doing miles on a Heritage. You've got the best seat HD makes, big bags, a windshield. Toss a large touring bag on the backseat or luggage rack and go ride.
Well I'm a retired overweight 71 year old kid.
Even travailing in my van I need to pull over from time to time to stretch.
Same goes on any of the Softails I've owned through the years.
I also average 8 to10,000 miles a year around paved country roads mostly.
If your in love with the new 2016 FLSTC (I can see why) and you body is use to
a Road King your best bet IMO is to rent a FLSTC for a day or at least test
ride one for sure.
Looks over comfort has yet to be a challenge for me, looks
first, comfort when I get old.
