I put a spray of dry lube in the ignition twice a year. I use the clear spray, same dry lube I use on my ammo press.

Having the alarm system, I rarely lock it. Love the engine dis-abler.

Glad you got your problem fixed...l Awesome when it's something simple!

I was up that way about a month ago. I usually get 35-38mpg on my Ultra Limited. From Lee Vining to Lone Pine and then on to Kramer Junction, I got 44mpg...!

That 395 must be a magic roadway.....!

OR... maybe it's just the decreasing altitude....

Glad you got it taken care of! In case it happens again... A few years ago I experienced a similar problem, but my ignition was already locked. I damaged my key when I engaged the fork lock, but I didn't realize it. Luckily I was finally able to unlock the ignition with the damaged key. My local dealer was able to rebuild lock cylinder so the original (spare) key worked, and I just ordered extra keys. Cost was approximately $50 for the repair.
