I had the stock setup when I bought my bike. Although it is an ugly setup its pretty ingenious really. With that said, the man who owned my bike traded it in with very low miles because his OL hated the pillion seat. She may have been two axe handles wide, who knows. Anyway she made him trade it in with 6,000 miles on it and $10K in upgrades.

I don't have a need to ride two up. I am just under 5' 8" and had a hard time reaching the ground flat footed. Going with Danny Gray seat lowered me into the bike about 3 or 4 inches. Now flat footed is no problem.

I agree with Sarah, the gap between the fender and seat is too big, looks bad..

Rockers are cool looking bikes that are quick and fun to ride, however unless you are pretty light weight they ride pretty rough.

That wide rear tire also looks great, but you can sure feel it transitioning through corners. Takes some getting used to.

Not sure just a seat is going to give you the comfort you seek.

I'm not a picture taking person, so I can't show you what I did, but I'm fixing to do it again to my new bike, so I'll see if my OL can take some when I do it. But it is pretty simple to do. I took a piece of cardboard lile a pizza box, had my OL sit in it and traced her ***, then I took the stock passenger pad apart so I could get to the srock seat pan, which is very heavy gage steel. I tweaked the over all shape to get what I wanted, and simply added to both sides and the back of the seat pan, and put a curl on the back edge. Since the passenger pad is too big to be stored under the riders seat as it was stock, I modified that seatpan as well, taking that storage pocket out and allowing for more foam and a better shape. Then I just took them both to a scooter upholsterer. The end result is two seats that look very near stock Rocker C and function the same way installed, yet they are properly comfortable and all day rideable. Now as far as a hard ride goes, adjust it to suit your weight just like EVERY other softail, and there are plenty of suspension choices if the after market is something you desire.

I went that way because I actually love the Rocker for exactly what it is, I love the trick seat. Solo when I want, and two up in 30 seconds when I want. Yes the stock set up leaves a gap between the seat and fender, just like a lot of old hardtails, yet again I like that design, the swing arm mounted fender, nice and tight to the tire. As you decide how you want to make your bike yours, you'll figure out the right folks that can give you the help you need or desire.
