Bike had 9k on it when I bought it. I guess the previous owner road the clutch.....
Or too many Hole shots, hard riding or it might have never been adjusted since new. Lots of guy do all their own maintenance and don't know how to adjust the Clutch Pac.
53K on mine and I've never felt it slip, it still grabs like new. I change the pri oil every 5k and adjust the clutch pac at the same time.
I really like your bike! I bet it turns alot of heads.
If you don't mind, what seat is that?
Thank you kind sir.The seat is a LePera Bare Bones w/ the gel insert.I like to think the gel made a big difference, but truth is the seat alone is way better than what it had.
bikerlaw,
How big a difference did the 34 tooth pulley make? Had to edit. Had my head up my *** and misread
It makes a pretty big difference. Not only does it drop the RPM on the hyway, but it changes the 4-5 shift point from out of the mid 50 mph range. For a back roads rider like me, I am always around the 55 mph mark. And as you navigate curves, traffic whatever, you seem to always be in the wrong freakin gear. Slow down just a tad, pop down to fourth. Speed up back to fifth. Countless times, over and over. With the 34 tooth I was able to ride the back roads and just keep it in forth gear. Which is NOW the perfect gear for anywhere between say high 40's to about 60. That alone makes it golden in my book.
Yes I can understand this. I have definitely lost some ride comfort with the changes to my bike and when I get a little older I may start going in the direction of more comfort but at this point in my life it hasn't bothered me enough.
I am stuck driving a company truck during the weekdays and usually ride a couple three hours each evening. It is rare that I venture further than 50 miles from the house.
How do you like the rider backrest? My lower back is what bothers me the most when riding
Because my lower back wasn't as strong as it used to be, when I got it, my back thanked me for it and my longer rides became more comfy and enjoyable for me.
My favorite mechanical mods would be the Stage1 with Vance and Hines pipes and my Ness forward controls extensions. Looks wise I think it's the whole look of the bike with everything I've done to it.

Dude,that is a nice,clean,uncluttered scoot.Nice work.
Last week I updated cam chest and this is my #1 mod for performance now. New cam plate, high flow oil pump and S&S 583 cams. I had no idea there was so much more torch and HP in this engine just waiting to be unleashed with a cam swap!
