From all the modifications you have done to your bikes what would you say would be the best mod in each category? I am kind of curious what impacted you the most. I have listed mine below. I ride 09 Heritage Classic
Best mechanical mod: Barnett clutch disks
The clutch kit completely changed my ride. So much that it still blows my mind. I never realized how much the factory clutch slipped. For $160. it is top of the list for me
Runner up is Baker attitude adjuster. In all honesty this should probably be number 1 because I truly feel had I left the auto adjuster in it was only a matter of time before ipb failure and clutch wouldn't be doing me any good at that point.
Best appearance mod: Diamond cut Fat Spoke wheels 21"F 16"R
Man this was a toss up. I love the bars I installed but the wheels, the wheels are sweet. I was trying to ball on a budget and went with DNA hoping for the best. Unfortunately the chrome on the front wheel is peeling and will need to be redone but I still say wheels made the biggest difference on looks to me.
Looking forward to hearing your input
Thanks,
John
As I look back on the Mods that I did, to keep it simple, the mods that I did were to make my ride more comfy so I could ride longer and farther. Example: bars, seat and as I got older, a back rest.

Yes I can understand this. I have definitely lost some ride comfort with the changes to my bike and when I get a little older I may start going in the direction of more comfort but at this point in my life it hasn't bothered me enough.
I am stuck driving a company truck during the weekdays and usually ride a couple three hours each evening. It is rare that I venture further than 50 miles from the house.
How do you like the rider backrest? My lower back is what bothers me the most when riding
On my 11 Fatboy Lo 1st was a 124" kit from S&S; 2nd favorite was a 7 speed tranny from Baker; 3rd was 12" mini apes with internal wiring and throttle cable.
I have been looking at the Baker Tranny's. Have heard nothing but good reviews. Thats a nice looking bike bud!
Mustang wide solo seat. Turned the bike from a 2 hour ride to an "all day" ride.
Crash bar. Paid for itself a week after I installed it, when my foot slipped pushing the bike and it went over.
Windshield. I've been riding long enough that I have nothing to prove to anyone by suffering in the cold and eating bugs.
Function and style:
Low 2 into 1 exhaust (#56265-87D). Sounds great, has a great "old school" look, performs well, AND allows me to run full size saddlebags, not the dinky "Fat Boy" style bags that came on the bike. Those bags were as useless as one of those ladies' evening bags.
'50's style bubble bags. Great old school looks, easy one-latch access, and plenty of room. Much easier to care for than leather, and roomy enough to hold a leather jacket or a half helmet.
Honorable mention: Luggage rack. For when you need to carry something that won't fit in the bags.
Unfortunately, most of my mods have been comfort/appearance related to this point.Bars and seat were #1,then the Fat Spoke front.Cut 4" off the pipes, but probably didn't change anything.

I really like your bike! I bet it turns alot of heads.
