Yuasa GYZ High Performance Maintenance Free Battery - GYZ20HL / YUAM720GH
Reliably starts my S&S V111...
This is what I have in both my Dyna and Softail. The Dyna battery has been running strong for 5 years now, the Softail for 2 years. I keep my bikes hooked up to a trickle charger almost all the time. A buddy of mine had a battery last him 10 years...not sure what kind it was. He also kept in on a trickle charger.
The ETX20L Deka, Big Crank, and Autozone sure looks like the same battery to me.
Perhaps they just share the same design.
Yes, those images do look the same, and it could be that their AGM batt's are not made by Johnson Controls, ......but online info states clearly "Duralast is Autozone’s private label made by Johnson Controls."
Johnson Controls is the leading supplier of batteries to many of the largest aftermarket battery retailers, including Advance Auto Parts, DAISA S.A., AutoZone, Costco, NAPA, Interstate Batteries, Walmart and more. Powering virtually every type of passenger car, light truck and utility vehicle, our batteries are globally sold under private labels, as well as our own brands – VARTAŽ, HeliarŽ, LTHŽ, MACŽ and OPTIMAŽ.
Well, I bought the Autozone Powersports battery because it was about $50 cheaper then the HD counter part and was in stock on the next street corner.
But it's only been about 4 months ago. I'll report on how long it lasts. Hopefully this thread will be deep, deep, in the archives when it goes kaplewy. He he
