First 'fix' I've read so far. Thanks for the input!

If you are getting the chirp on decel the drive belt is loose. I had this happen to me and I could have sworn it was in the front end. Check/adjust the belt tension.

I'll bet thats what it is. It started from one ride to the next. It was my last 'spin around the block' before putting her up for the winter when I noticed it. Thanks for the insight!
Ride safe

Yeap. on my sons 07 Deuce he had a chirping noise, after a lot of checking everything we could think of on the rear with no luck we though it was belt related somehow, later as he was talking to his favorite HD wrench at his 5k service about the Chirp, he give him some kind of belt dressing, pretty thick grease looking stuff to my son and told him to put on the edges only and to use it sparingly. end of chirp...

used to get that on my sportster whenever i'd take a chick with chunky rump for a ride. i'd switch gears and hear a chirp in the front end, never did it when i was alone. it bothered me cause i wanted to continue the big butt rides, so i traded it in and bought a bigger bike. problem solved
