Default Milage window

Good Day, got a question for all, has anybody's mileage window gone black before? It is getting harder for me to read the mileage and not sure on what I should do to fix it. If anybody has any suggestions, please let me know.

Thanks
Memo

Doesn't matter what caused it, replace it. Under warranty youre blessed. Check the seal on the dash if thats pertinent.

Year, exact model ?
Reason : in 1997,1998 Harley had a supplier for gas tank speedometer models.
The speedometer in some units (LCD odometer screen) developed leaks of the fluid in the LCD odometer screen.
It looked like black ink leaking.

It is a 06 heritage(carbureted), this morning I rode the bike and the speedo window was fine. Maybe a gremlin on the bike or maybe cause I live in AZ

Sounds like a good time to upgrade to that Speedo/Tach.

I really like mine.
