Sold the Road Glide last week and picked up a new project! Its a Cherry 2005 Springer Classic that a gentleman put a whole bunch of work into and then passed away somewhat soon after. Its got a SE Stage IV 113 pro kit and updated crank, and a SE 6-speed. The bike pulls harder than an Harley Ive ever ridden by a factor of two at least! Reminds me of the way a V65 or a V-max pulled in the 80s.. can feel your face being pulled off. It doesnt look like a bike that someones dumped a bunch of money into the motor of, which sort-of adds to the appeal. The engine runs very quietly, with only the expected upper valve train tick youd expect from a high lift cam, runs quieter than my 14 Slim did in fact!
Heres the as is now pics, I have big plans for it and already have some parts on the way
Man! That's one of the great HD models of the Twin-Cam era. Nice bike. I'd like to hear the motor revved up in a video. A quick revving Stage IV has a sound all its own.
Looks like that's a 2003 100 Heritage Springer Anniversary seat. If the logo is still in good shape you should be able to sell it and buy a regular seat and put money in your pocket!
Bike sounds great. Looking forward to seeing your mods.
