I just installed the run ,turn, brake conv. kit on my new Heritage and tried to order the narrow rear turn signal bar #68611-98 also. Parts guy said it will not work with the #69461-06d, showed me right in the book. Looked in mine and in an 2011, says the same thing. But we both agree, it doesn't make sense. Why would a narrower bar affect the harness under the seat ? Could it cause more heat in the confined space ? Any ideas? All 4 of my books say the same. Thanks for any input.
That's crazy. It's an old DOT thing. Brake life's too close together? Look at the new bikes. I've run that module with the narrow light bar for years

they automatically function as run/brake/turn signals when wired as instructed. In other words, the LED turn signals do not require the wire harness. That is true with the stock light bar or the narrow light bar.
