Nice thread revival. The XL I have on my crossbones scrapes about the same time my boards do. I have it hardmounted though so it doesn't hang as low as it would if you just used the straps or zip ties.
If you go to chasing white lines theres a write up on how to make a mounting bracket. You can raise it higher to prevent it from scraping. Thats what I had to do after opening up the switches on my first bag. And snaps are better than buckles.

Cut a peace of aluminum clad plex. to fit inside & 3 SS hose clamps to mount it . Now it holds its shape prefect and stays tight against the swing arm.. A big improvement . Bag is not the highest quality , but not the worst eather Finished nice and tight Panel & clamps installed
