The bars are 1 1/2 inch Burly Bars. The wiring is inside the bars...I like the look....wider and a small amount of pullback than the stock bars so they feel much more stable (wider) and I don't have to reach as far for them.
Hammer, have you noticed any odd noises coming from your forks since installing the Arlen Ness dampening rods? I installed it this weekend & now it makes a clunking noise just hitting small bumps.
I had the Ness Kit installed about 8 months ago. 2.5" front and rear. I love the look and seat height. The ride obviously isn't as great and the front end bottoms out every now and then. The rear is good to go, no problems at all even with a passenger. The kickstand works fine but the chroming isn't as good as the stocker, it's starting to rust a bit. in looking back I would do it over, the look far outweighs the loss in handling as long as you don't plan really long rides.
I put a call into Arlen Ness & they told me to preload the springs with 1" spacers. This will be fun to try & get in there but I'll give it a try. I ended up just buying the front & rear pieces cause the stand won't work on a 07. It sits fine on the stock stand.
