Well this is the fourth look for this bike (2005 fatboy) and I'm sure there will be 4 more but hey at least the wife can't say I keep buying new bikes..lol this is when it had the full rsd kit (200mm conversion)
Look 1
Then I decided to go to silver same rsd kit (minus the tank) and repainted rear fender
Then I bought a new old stock tank off of a 01 heritage. Replaced the metal bobber seat with a rsd vintage seat which had to be reworked to be more comfortable ( the stock seat sucks).
Then I decided that I wanted a fairing so my buddies bought me a Memphis shades batwing fairing planning on adding some tunes with the msa1 kit. I also added a heritage fender for that low look...still need to get a blank fender for the rear so I can get the look I'm really after, going to be a challenge as the rear end has no fender struts and it needs a 9 inch fender but I found one and in the process of getting it mocked up for the rsd struts..custom seat to follow.
Better pics of the latest mods to follow it was raining like a **** yesterday...
Damn, someone more A.D.D. than me!
I think you're doing a great job on all your incarnations.
The top pic is my fav as so few people ever realize how freakin' awesome a Sporty tank looks on a Softail chassis.
Yeah I have a good group of friends we take care each other...Only took me 41 years to get them..lol
Looking good. I still like the first paint job (minus the number) the best. Post up when the rear is done.
That paint job was cool but that tank was good for bar hopping and in so Cal, a day ride might consist of 300 miles! Just needed more petro

LOL..Yeah I have a problem but I haven't found a help group yet and this site doesn't help! That tank is actually a RSD tank. Similar but a little different style.
Thanks for the props guys just trying something new this year, But I do have a paint scheme in mind and since I have extra tins for no down time I will be getting them to the painter soon.
