hey t rat how ya doin. love your bike and especially the seat. can you tell me what kind of seat it is.I have an 07 deluxe and like your setup.Im new to the forum and dont have any pictures posted yet but will soon.thanks for any info
Its hard to choose I sometimes feel i wish i would have stayed with the dynas when i want to ride hard. I just picked up an sporty and Ive been finding myself riding that way more now just alot more fun. If your looking at getting one look for a newer used a 05 you can get for a lot less now with hardly any miles. the upside to the softails are there are tons of cheap parts out there on ebay you can save a ton for.
I think that the Deluxe seat is basically quite comfortable. But my experience and from what I've heard from others is that after a certain amout of time during a long ride the seat deforms and you end up sitting on the frame. For that reason many have the stock seats restuffed with memory foam or other cushion products. I plan to do my Deluxe seat this winter.
Question why don't Harley just let us come in and just order from a catalog everything we want and then build the bike... Like Dell does with their computers...[sm=biker.gif]

While that would be great for the consumer, the MoCo would only be able to build 1/4 of the bikes they do now, thus making 3/4 less money... and as everyone knows money is the bottom line.
i have a 05 deluxe & had problems with long hauls because of back problems, found out the springer seat rail will bolt right on the deluxe, which gives you an option to buy a drivers backrest pad. i found a good deal on a used springer seat whick came with a seat rail & tall backrest pad & passenger pillion. only thing is the passenger pillion wont work , the luggage rack is in the way . but i can still use the stock passenger pillion for the deluxe . the springer seat is sooooo much more confortable. if you like the deluxe this option sure helped me out ,for about $250 .
