Problem with rear hubcap kit and axle cover
Yesterday I was trying to install the Kuryakyn phamptom rear axle covers and discovered they will not work if you have the HD rear hubcap kit (pn#43253-00B) installed over the pulley cover. The problem is the hubcap bolts are very close to the swingarm and the phamptom cover inlays too far when installed causing the bolts to hit the cover when the wheel is rotating.
Does anyone have the hubcap installed with axle covers? If so, which ones?

Hello SMSGTB. I can't speak for the "flat"style axle covers, but I've got the custom rear axle adjuster and nut kit(part #43429-02 pg.#326 07HD catalog)installed on my 07 Springer Classic, and it works fine. It gives a nice old school/hot rod look too.This part will also work with HD saddlebags. Good luck.
