I figured I would start my own bike thread cataloging the modification process. Not doing anything crazy, as a matter of fact copying a few ideas from others in this forum.

The bike is a 2016 Softail Slim S and my plans are to just make it unique enough so it does not blend in with the rest of the crowd but not so unique that it "looks like an old lady wearing too much jewelry"

The day I brought it home.



Added smoked turn signal covers and an engine guard



Next up a pair of red Hella Horns and I added a grenade shift **** where the factory horn was located.



I added a 30mm ammo can by making a small bracket out of aluminum so I could mount it to the fender support. Had a custom leather streamer made that played off the ole "remove before flight" saying. Bought a pair of HDMC soft lowers, they make a difference when out of the freeway.





Installed a Motherwell fender rack



Swapped out the factory speedo



Removed the reflectors and chopped/narrowed a factory wide glide sissy bar to fit between the fender and fender supports. I'm thinking about wrapping it with black 550 cord.

 

bike looks awesome - the hand grenade is a nice touch!

 

Very nice!! I like what you've done so far....Be careful... you might find it hard to stop now that you started the mods!!!

Bike looks good. Unfortunately with that paint job there is nothing you can do to keep it from not blending in.

What speedo is that?

 

Now that I think about it that would probably make it not blend in lol!!

 

The red horns...look out of place in the bike. Dont like sorry.
