Default Samson Cholos!

Found a set of 39" true duals at phat performance parts , for $835.00 shipped.
I haven't seen a better price elsewhere.
I have never dealt with them before, and searched reviews, and did find some negatives, but even the most reputable places have them.

Anyone have dealings with them?

One other thing that has me a little apprehensive, is that Samson went up for sale last week, which may affect any warranty issue.

This is the system I'm looking at for my 04 FLSTC.

Samson went up for sale? I wouldn't worry about them going out of business. They have a huge factory in Sturgis and I doubt they'd just close up and disappear. I've had great luck with my Hell Raisers and the cholos should be no different in quality.

I purchased a set of 36" cholos about a year ago took 2 months to get them. Then when I actually got them I was vary disappointed in the fit of the heat shields and the chrome looked like it was painted on with a brush. I was so excited to finally get them I didn't realize till after I got them on how bad they really were ran them for about 2 weeks took them off and sold them for half of what I paid. That was my experience. I bought them because I kept reading everyone that had them loved them and how great they were. Good luck with your decision. For me it was a $1000 mistake. I'll never buy any pipes from them again.

I just purchased a set of 33 Samson True Duals from Phat Perfomance Parts yesterday for $799. I figure they are all selling the same product from Samson just different prices. Should arrive in a week is what the website said so I hope all is good when they arrive.

Update...............Just got an email from Phat Perfomance that my Samson Pipe are being shipped today. I was afraid I was gonna wait for them a long time.

Kenny Price CEO and Founder is retiring and has put the company up for sale. He has offered a 2 year transition period to whoever purchases the company.

I have a set of 39" on my Deluxe. I have had them on for 2 seasons now, about 8k miles on them. I love the look and so does the majority of people who sees them. I also love how they sound. I have a bit of motor work so that adds to the sound and when I put it on the dyno I pulled the baffles.

The only thing I do not like about them is the chrome. I have a few spots where the chrome just flaked off of them. I do show this bike from time to time so that chrome work has put me in the position where I have to do something. If it gets any worse I'm going to pull them off next winter and go back to my Python header.

Good luck with whatever you are going to do.

I bit the bullet and put the order in this evening. I hope I get them before Bike Week. If the chrome has problems, they'll be going back to Samson post haste.
